TC Boiler & Piping was proud to participate as a vendor at the 2026 GBRIA Plant Leadership Conference & Industry Expo, an event that brought together nearly 300 industry professionals from across the Gulf Coast industrial and contractor community.
Hosted by the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance, the event created exactly the kind of environment our industry needs: leadership development, practical education, meaningful networking, and conversations that move the industrial community forward.
A Strong Day for Gulf Coast Industry
The Expo brought together plant leaders, contractors, suppliers, vendors, and professionals who share a common goal: strengthening the future of industry.
As a member and vendor, TCB had the opportunity to meet with professionals from across the region, build new relationships, and reconnect with familiar faces. The expo floor gave us a chance to have real conversations with people who understand the demands of industrial work, from safety and execution to workforce development and long-term operational performance.
Those conversations matter.
In this business, relationships are built through trust, consistency, and shared standards. Events like this give companies like ours the opportunity to listen, learn, and stay aligned with the needs of plant teams, facility leaders, and contractor partners throughout the region.
Learning from Leaders Who Challenge the Industry to Grow
One of the most valuable parts of the event was the opportunity to step away from the day-to-day pace of industrial work and invest in education.
The breakout sessions and keynote presentations gave attendees practical insight into leadership, communication, personal branding, executive visibility, and long-term organizational excellence.
Dr. Thomas “Tommy” Karam, professor at LSU, opened the day with a session on building your personal brand. His message was a strong reminder that reputation is not built by accident. It is shaped by how we communicate, how we treat people, how we carry ourselves, and how consistently we represent the values behind our work.

Executive LinkedIn, Leadership Visibility, and Industrial Communication
Another standout session came from Cameron Pivach with Vessel Marketing, who spoke on managing your executive LinkedIn presence.
For industrial companies, LinkedIn is more than a place to post updates. It is a platform for leadership, credibility, recruiting, industry education, and relationship-building.
The session reinforced something we continue to believe: the way leaders communicate matters. In today’s industrial market, companies are not only evaluated by their capabilities. They are evaluated by their culture, their people, their values, and their ability to communicate clearly with clients, partners, and future employees.
We see that as a golden opportunity. When we share the work of our crews, recognize our people, highlight safety, and tell the story behind the job, we are doing more than marketing. We are showing the industry what the Wolf Pack standard looks like.
Lessons from America’s Rocket Factory
The event closed with a fascinating keynote from Hansel Gill, Director of NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facilities, titled “Leading America’s Rocket Factory: Lessons from 65 Years of Aerospace Manufacturing.”
His message offered a powerful perspective on leadership, manufacturing excellence, and the discipline required to sustain performance across generations of work.
While aerospace manufacturing and industrial construction are different worlds in many ways, the core lessons connect. Complex work demands strong systems. High-risk environments demand discipline. Long-term success demands leadership, accountability, and people who are committed to getting the job done right.
That is something our team understands.
Whether the work is happening in a plant, refinery, manufacturing facility, semiconductor environment, or boiler system, excellence does not happen by accident. It is built through planning, communication, safety, technical skill, and a team that refuses to cut corners.
